Abstract: VIBRIO IS THE ORGANISM RESPONSIBLE FOR CHOLERA, A SEVERE, DEHYDRATING, DIARRHEAL ILLNESS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS INVESTIGATION IS TO COLLECT INFORMATION ON ILLNESS OCCURRING AS A RESULT OF INFECTION WITH VIBRIO SPECIES TO GAIN A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE INCIDENCE, ETIOLOGY,_AND EPIDEMIOLOGY OF ALL VIBRIO-RELATED ILLNESSES OCCURRING IN THE U.S.
