Abstract: APPROPRIATE WILDERNESS MANAGEMENT IS DEPENDENT UPON KNOWLEDGE OF VISIT BEHAVIOR IN AN AREA, THE VISITORS' PREFERENCES FOR VARIOUS TYPES OF SOCIAL INTERACTION, AND THE VISITORS' INDICATION OF SUPPORT FOR VARIOU MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES.
