Abstract: THE 1992 CENSUS OF RETAIL TRADE WILL MEASURE THE ECONOMIC ACTIVITY OF MORE THAN 2.5 MILLION ESTABLISHMENTS CLASSIFIED IN SIC DIVISION G. TH ECONOMIC CENSUSES, CONDUCTED UNDER AUTHORITY OF TITLE 13, USC, ARE THE PRIMARY SOURCE OF FACTS ABOUT THE STRUCTURE AND FUNCTIONING OF THE NATION'S ECONOMY. ECONOMIC CENSUS STATISTICS SERVE AS PART OF THE FRAMEWORK FOR THE NATIONAL ACCOUNTS AND PROVIDE ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
