Terms of Clearance: This request is approved with the condition that the "sponsored" annua surveys (MA25H, MA30C, MA35N, MA35U, and MA36L), which are collected o a mandatory basis only in Economic Census years, be resubmitted for collection on a voluntary basis within one year. We strongly recommmend that these and any other surveys that change status only in the Census year be combined into a separate special voluntary wave sin their review cycle must accommodate the one-year mandatory collection intervals that do not conform to the typical three-year review cycle f other waves.

Abstract: THE CURRENT INDUSTRIAL REPORTS PROGRAM COLLECTS AND PUBLISHES 7-DIGIT PRODUCT INFORMATION ON OVER 4,400 MANUFACTURED PRODUCTS. SURVEY RESUL ARE AVAILABLE MONTHLY, QUARTERLY, AND ANNUALLY. OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES USE THE DATA TO ANALYZE SPECIFIC COMMODITIES AND INDUSTRIES. APPROXIMATELY 37,000 MANUFACTURING FIRMS REPORT TO THE CURRENT INDUSTRIAL REPORTS PROGRAMS.
