Abstract: SECTION 1362 OF THE NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE ACT OF 1968 (P.L. 90-488) AS AMENDED (42 U.S.C. 4103), AUTHORIZES FEMA TO PURCHASE SEVERELY OR REPETITIVELY DAMAGED INSURED PROPERTIES TO REDUCE FUTURE FEDERAL DISASTER COSTS. THE FORMS WILL BE USED TO COLLECT DATA WHICH DETERMIN ELIGIBILITY, FUNDING PRIORITIES, AND COST EFFECTIVENESS.
