Terms of Clearance: OMB will reinstate all forms currently being used: HUD Forms 92001, 92001A, 92001B,92001C,92001D, 92001E & 92001-V. HUD shall not make revisions to the above listed forms that reflect information collection changes associated with the proposed rule. Not Approved. Comments Filed. OMB does not approve the collection of information in the proposed rule. OMB has filed the following comments 1) Pursuant to 5 CFR 1320.4(b)(1), HUD shall ensure that the collectio of info. associated with the application for approval as a mortgagee is the least burdensome necessary. In particular, HUD shall discuss the costs and burden associated with changes in the Direct Endorsement Process (Section 203.5). HUD shall provide in greater detail an analys of the costs associated with imposing new collection requirements on loan correspondents. 2) Pursuant to 5 CFR 1320.4, HUD shall publish the required burden hour disclosure statement on HUD Forms 921001A-D. 3) In its next submission, HUD shall discuss whether the proposed new Mortgagee Approval system requires mortgagees to maintain data in any other format in which the information is currently maintained. 4) Finally, HUD shall summarize the public comments associated with th information collection portions of the proposed rule and address these comments in its next submission.

Abstract: MORTGAGEE INSURED PROGRAMS/LENDING INSTITUTIONS ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA. TO QUALIFY FOR PARTICIPATION IN THESE HUD PROGRAMS, LENDERS ARE REQUIRED TO FILE WITH THE DEPARTMENT AN APPLICATION WITH SUPPORTING EXHIBITS. THE PROPOSED RULE WOULD REVISE SOME OF THE REQUIREMENTS FOR MORTGAGEE APPROVAL. HOWEVER, THE BURDEN TIME TO PREPARE THESE FORMS WILL NOT CHANGE.
