Terms of Clearance: This request is approved on the basis of revisions to Form PE-5 submitted on November 16, 1990. Total burden hours have been adjusted to reflect the additional data needed to improve quarterly estimates. The cover letter for Form PE-5 should also be revised to inform respondents that the requirement for this annual form is waived for those companies that voluntarily submit current quarterly data. The Census Bureau should also track respondent reaction to the experimenta features of the forms to determine the approach that yields the most complete and timely quarterly response.
