We have approved these reporting requirements through April 1991. It is clear that the burden of these reports could be substantially reduced without affecting at all the Department's ability to monitor compliance. The Department shall continue to seek opportunities for legislative revisions that reduce these largely unnecessary reporting burdens while giving the Department the information needed to ensure compliance. By the end of October 1990, the Department shall report to this Office on progress in this area.
