Abstract: PART 240 REQUIRES STATE AGENCIES, SCHOOLS AND INSTITUTIONS WHICH RECEIVE CASH PAYMENTS IN LIEU OF DONATED FOODS UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH ACT TO RETAIN RECORDS ON THE RECEIPT AND DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS MADE AVAILABLE. PART 240 ALSO REQUIRES STATE AGENCIES TO INFORM FNS OF THE AMOUNT TO BE RECEIVED BY COMMODITY ONLY SCHOOLS.
