Terms of Clearance: Approved with the understanding that: 1) BLS will develop a current Employment Statistics State Operations Review questionnaire tailored t the States using the Iowa-type processing system and submit the revise questionnaire to OMB for review by December 1989, 2) BLS will revise the Operations Review questionnaire for the remaining States in preparation for extension of the current OMB clearance, with the revision to remove questions not directly related to the quality and timeliness of estimates, and 3) BLS will report on the results of research on Computer Assisted Interviewing, touch-tone employer reporting, and implementation of the Iowa-type processing system. Reporting should be arranged through a meeting during the second quarter of FY 1990, and when requesting extension of this clearance beyond June 1991.
