Abstract: THE CARIBBEAN BASIN INITIATIVE (CBI) WAS PROPOSED TO PROMOTE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND POLITICAL STABILITY IN CENTRAL AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN ISLANDS. THIS SURVEY OF COMPANIES THAT HAVE MADE EQUITY INVESTMENTS IN CBI BENEFICIARY COUNTRIES IS NEEDED TO EVALUATE THE IMPACT AND EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROGRAM.
