Abstract: THE PURPOSE OF THIS FORM C700(SL) IS TO COLLECT THE AMOUNT OF CONSTRUCTION PUT IN PLACE EA MONTH FROM A NATIONWIDE SAMPLE OF NEW STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS. THESE STATISTICS ARE USED EXTENSIVELY BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IN MAKING POLICY DECISIONS AND BECOME PART OF T GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT. THEY ARE ALSO USED BY THE PRIVATE SECTOR FOR MARKET ANALYSIS AND OTHER RESEARCH.
