UNDER THE 1977 MINE SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT, OPERATORS MUST SAMPLE MINE ATMOSPHERES USING SAMPLING EQUIPMENT APPROVED BY THE SECRETARIES OF HHS AND LABOR. NIOSH REQUIRED THE APPLICANT TO SUBMIT A QUALITY ASSURANCE PLAN FOR CERTIFICATION UNDER 30 CFR 74. ANY CHANG IN THE PRODUCT OR OA PLAN REQUIRE AN EXTENSION OF CERTIFICATION. THE PLAN ASSURES THE PRODUCTS SOLD PERFORM SAME AS THOSE EVALUATED FOR
