Abstract: THE NPIP IS A VOLUNTARY STATE-FEDERAL PROGRAM FOR IMPROVEMENT OF POULT BREEDING FLOCKS, AND IDENTIFIES BREEDING FLOCKS WHICH HAVE MET CERTAIN STANDARDS FOR BREEDING AND FREEDOM FROM DISEASES. DATA OBTAINED IS US TO EVALUATE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROGRAM AND PROVIDE INFORMATION FOR USE IN NATIONAL PUBLICATIONS.
