Abstract: THE COMMISSION IS PROPOSING TO ISSUE AN OFFICIAL COMMENTARY ON THE FAI CREDIT REPORTING ACT. THE PURPOSE OF THE COMMENTARY IS TO STREAMLINE AND UPDATE EXISTING REGULATORY GUIDANCE MATERIALS INTO A SINGLE, EASIL USED REFERENCE WORK ON THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FCRA. THE COMMENTARY FORMAT WILL MAKE IT EASIER FOR THOSE WITH QUESTIONS ABOUT THE MEANING OF THE STATUTE TO FIND ANSWERS. IT WILL BE A MORE COMPREHENSIVE
