Abstract: FORM 8644-A IS USED BY CERTAIN FOREIGN INVESTMENT COMPANIES TO REPORT INFORMATION TO ITS SHAREHOLDERS WHO ARE U.S. PERSONS. THE SHAREHOLDERS USE THE INFORMATION TO REPORT AMOUNTS IN GROSS INCOME WHEN FILING THEI INCOME TAX RETURNS. THE IRS USES THE INFORMATION ON FORM 8644-A TO DETERMINE IF THE CORRECT AMOUNT HAS BEEN INCLUDED IN INCOME.
