Abstract: THE RULE REQUIRES MANUFACTURERS TO PROVIDE ENRGY INFORMATION LABELS ON CERTAIN MAJOR HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES. THE AMENDMENT COVERED BY THIS REQUEST WOULD IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF THE INFORMATION DISCLOSED TO CONSUMERS OF FURNACES AND AIR CONDITIONERS AND WILL REDUCE THE BURDEN OF MAKING THE DISCLOSURES REQUIRED BY THE RULE.
