Abstract: THE U.S. GOVERNMENT HAS A CLEAR AND IMMEDIATE NEED FOR CURRENT APPAREL PRODUCTION DATA TO MONITOR THE EFFECT OF IMPORTS ON THE DOMESTIC APPAREL PRODUCTION INDUSTRY. THE USERS OF THESE DATA WILL BE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, BUSINE FIRMS, TRADE ASSOCIATIONS, AND RESEARCH CONSULTING ORGANIZATIONS.
