THE 16 SMALL BUSINESS LENDING COMPANIES' SOLE FUNCTION IS TO PARTICIPA IN SBA'S LOAN GUARANTY PROGRAMS. THEY ARE REGULATED, SUPERVISED AND EXAMINED SOLELY BY THE SBA. THE AGENCY'S REGULATIONS REQUIRE SBLC'S TO MAINTAIN ESSENTIAL (YET COMMON) RECORDS OF THEIR CORPORATE OPERATIONS THAT WE CAN PERFORM OUR ESSENTIAL OVERSIGHT RESPONSIBILITIES PRUDENTLY EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY.
