THESE STATISTICS ARE AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT ACCOUNTS, AND THE SURVEY IS DESIGNATED A "PRINCIPAL FEDERAL ECONOMIC INDICATOR" BY THE OFFICE OF INFORMATION AND REGULATORY AFFAIRS.
