THE ECI IS USED TO ANALYZE THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN CHANGES IN PRODUCTIVITY, EMPLOYMENT, OUTPUT PRICES, AND COMPENSATION COSTS. THE SURVEY COVERS THE PRIVATE NONFARM ECONOMY AND STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS.
