Abstract: THE CENTER FOR STATISTICS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION WILL COLLECT INFORMATION CONCERNING DISCIPLINE PROBLEMS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS, AS PERCEIVED BY TEACHERS. THE RESPONDENTS WILL BE REPRESENTATIVE SAMPLES OF ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS. THE INFORMATION WILL BE USED TO ASSIST IN SELECTING ACTIONS TO IMPROVE THE LEARNING CLIMATE IN SCHOOLS.
