Abstract: ERAMS IS A SYSTEM OF 268 STATIONS OPERATED BY STATE (AND SOME LOCAL) GOVERNMENTS WHICH PROVIDES VITAL DATA FOR ESTIMATING AMBIENT LEVELS OF RADIOACTIVE POLLUTANTS IN THE ENVIRONMENT, REALIZING TRENDS IN ENVIRONMENTAL LEVELS, AND ASSESSING THE IMPACT OF FALLOUT AND OTHER INTRUSIONS OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS.
