Abstract: THIS SURVEY WILL PROVIDE MEASURES OF POOL BARRIERS, COVERS, ETC., FOR THE GENERAL POPULATION OF HOUSEHOLDS HAVING RESIDENTIAL POOLS IN 8 COUNTIES IN THE U.S. THESE FACTORS WILL BE COMPARED WITH THE SAME FACTORS FOR A GROUP OF POOLS ASSOCIATED WITH SUBMERSION INCIDENTS OF A CHILD UNDER AGE 5 BEING STUDIED IN THE SAME 8 COUNTIES.
