Abstract: THE PROPOSED NEW YORK BUSINESS BIRTH SURVEY CONTINUES THE BUREAU'S WOR IN MODERNIZING THE CES PROGRAM. THE RESULTS OF THE SURVEY WILL ENABLE MORE ACCURATE ESTIMATES OF EMPLOYMENT AND REDUCE THE MAGNITUDE OF YEAR REVISIONS.
