Abstract: COUPONS FROM THE FEDERAL TAX DEPOSIT COUPON BOOK ARE USED TO DEPOSIT VARIOUS TYPES OF TAXES AT AUTHORIZED DEPOSITARIES. THE COUPONS ARE SEN TO IRS CENTERS FOR CREDITING TO TAXPAYERS' ACCOUNTS. DATA IS USED BY IRS TO MAKE THE CREDIT AND TO VERIFY TAX DEPOSITS CLAIMED ON RETURN FTD REORDER FORM IS USED TO REQUEST MORE COUPON BOOKS. AFFECTED PUBLI IS ALL TAXPAYERS REQUIRED TO USE THE TFD SYSTEM.
