Abstract: THE ADEQUACY OF THE VENTILATION SYSTEM FOR A GASSY MINE MUST BE CHECKED WEEKLY TO MAINTAIN A SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT. QUANTITATIVE MEASUREMENTS HELP ASSURE DILUTION OF GASES AND PRECLUDE THE PRESSURE OF EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERES.
