Abstract: THE CHANGE IN BANK CONTROL ACT REQUIRES THAT ANY PERSON PROPOSING TO ACQUIRE OWNERSHIP CONTROL OF AN INSURED STATE NONMEMBER BANK PROVID PRIOR WRITTEN NOTICE TO THE FDIC. SUCH NOTIFICATION IS MADE ON FORM FDIC 6822/1 AND IS SUBJECT TO DISAPPROVAL IF FDIC DETERMINES THE OWNERSHIP CONTROL TO BE NOT IN THE PUBLIC'S INTEREST.
