Abstract: THE PPI FORMS ARE USED TO GATHER PRICE DATA TO CALCULATE THE PRODUCER PRICE INDEX, WHICH IS ONE OF THE NATION'S LEADING ECONOMIC INDICATORS. THE RESPONDENT SAMPLE IS COMPRISED OF MANUFACTURERS OR PRODUCERS OF COMMODITIES AND SERVICES IN THE PRIMARY MARKETS OF THE UNITED STATES.
