Terms of Clearance: THIS REQUEST, AS AMENDED BY THE CHANGES INDICATED IN THE 10-22-85 MEMORANDUM FROM JEFFREY WILLIAMS OF EDUCATION , IS APPROVED. IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE, (1) SUGGESTED TYPES OF IN-KIND INCOME FOR QUESTION 20 OF THE TEACHER QUESTIONNAIRE WILL INCLUDE TUITION AND REDUCED RATES FOR FAMILY MEMBERS ATTENDING SCHOOL WHERE THE TEACHER WORKS AND (2) A PUBLICATION SCHEDULE FOR REPORTS USING DATA FROM THIS SURVEY WILL BE PROVIDED TO OMB BY DECEMBER 10. ONE TIME APPROVAL IS GRANTED. OMB WILL GRANT FUTURE APPROVAL, BASED UPON ACTUAL USE OF DATA COLLECTED FROM THIS SURVEY AND NEED TO UPDATE THESE DATA.

Abstract: THE PURPOSE IS TO OBTAIN NATIONAL ESTIMATES OF SELECTED CHARACTERISTIC OF PRIVATE SCHOOLS AND OF PRIVATE SCHOOL TEACHERS. A SAMPLE OF PRIVAT SCHOOLS AND OF PRIVATE SCHOOL TEACHERS WILL BE SURVEYED. EMPHASIS IS ON SCHOOL PROGRAMS, USE OF PAID AND UNPAID AIDES, TEACHER QUALIFICATIO AND COMPENSATION, TEACHER ACTIVITIES DURING THE MOST RECENT SCHOOL WEE AND SCHOOL CLIMATE.
