Abstract: THE PURPOSE OF FORM C-700(R) IS TO COLLECT THE AMOUNT OF CONSTRUCTION PUT-IN-PLACE EACH MONTH FROM A NATIONWIDE SAMPLE OF NEW TOWNHOUSE AND APARTMENT PROJECTS. THESE STATISTICS ARE USED EXTENSIVELY BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IN MAKING POLICY DECISIONS AND BECOME PART OF T GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT. THEY ARE ALSO USED BY THE PRIVATE SECTOR FOR MARKET ANALYSIS AND OTHER RESEARCH.
