THIS REQUEST IS APPROVED AS AMENDED BY THE REVISED JUSTIFICATION SUBMITTED TO OMB ON 11-15-84.

REQUESTED BY THE CENTER FOR LIBRARIES AND EDUCATION IMPROVEMENT (ED), THIS SURVEY SEEKS TO OBTAIN NATIONALLY REPRESENTATIVE INFORMATION ON A RECENT TECHNOLOGICAL AND EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN PUBLIC LIBRARIES PATRON USE OF COMPUTER HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE. FINDINGS WILL BE USED T GUIDE AND PROMOTE THE EFFORTS OF PUBLIC LIBRARIES AS THEY TRY TO INITIATE OR EXPAND THEIR SERVICES IN THIS AREA.
