Abstract: THIS TEST WILL ALLOW COMPARISONS OF THREE DIFFERENT APPROACHES TO ELICITING REPORTS OF CRIME VICTIMIZATION AND WILL BE USED TO PREPARE PORTIONS OF A REVISED NATIONAL CRIME SURVEY. THE SAMPLE WILL CONSIST OF RESIDENCES OF PRIVATE HOUSEHOLDS WITH TELEPHONES IN THE PEORIA, ILLINOIS AREA, MIXED WITH A POLICE RECORD SAMPLE FROM THE PEORIA POLIC DEPARTMENTS.
