Abstract: RAW GARBAGE IS ONE OF THE PRIMARY MEDIA THROUGH WHICH NUMBEROUS INFECTIOUS OR COMMUNICABLE DISEASES OF SWINE ARE TRANSMITTED. P.L. 96-468 REQUIRES ALL GARBAGE TO BE TREATED TO DESTROY INFECTIOUS AGENTS BEFORE IT IS FED TO SWINE. 9 CFR 166 IMPLEMENTS THE PROVISIONS OF THE ACT.
