Abstract: WHEN A FEDERAL AUDIT IS CONDUCTED, STATES MUST HAVE AVAILABLE ITS FILES CONTAINING ALL DOCUMENTS ON INDIVIDUAL CLAIMS IN ORDER TO PERFOR AN ADEQUATE EVALUATION OF THE PROGRAM. THE REQUIREMENT IS IMPOSED BECAUSE THE PROGRAM IS COST SHARED - 25 PERCENT STATE AND 75 PERCENT FEDERAL.
