Abstract: WHEN HUD ACQUIRES TITLES TO ONE-TO-FOUR FAMILY DWELLINGS BY VIRTUE OKF DEFAULT OF MORTGAGES IT INSURES, HUD MUST DO ALL THOSE THINGS NECESSARY TO PROTECT, MAINTAIN AND SELL THE PROPERTY JUST AS ANY OTHER REAL ESTATE OWNER. HUD DOES THIS THROUGH PROCUREMENT CONTRACTS WITH THE PRIVATE SECTOR.
