Abstract: THE ADEQUACY OF THE VENTILATION SYSTEM FOR A GASSY MINE MUST BE CHECKE WEEKLY TO MAINTAIN A SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT. QUANTITATIVE MEASUREMENTS HELP ASSURE DILUTION OF GASSES AND PRECLUDE THE PRESSURE OF EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERES.
