STANDARDS REQUIRE THAT MAIN FANS BE INSPECTED DAILY, THAT PRESHIFT EXAMINATIONS BE MADE FOR HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS, THAT EXAMINATIONS BE MADE WEEKLY FOR HAZARDOUS CONDITOND, INCLUDING TESTS FOR METHANE AND FOR COMPLIANCE WITH MANDATORY HEALTH AND SAFETY STANDARDS, THAT WEEKLY TESTS BE MADE OF AIR ENTERING THE MAIN INTAKES AND LEAVING THE MAIN RETURNS, ETC., AND THAT TESTS BE MADE AT 4-HOUR INTERVALS FOR METHANE.
