Abstract: THIS STUDY IS A SCIENTIFIC EVALUATION OF THE VAMC WADSWORTH HOSPICE. IT IS A CONTROLLED EXPERIMENT WHICH WILL DETERMINE THE RELATIVE EFFECTIVENESS AND COSTS OF HOSPICE CARE FOR VETERANS WHO ARE TERMINALLY ILL WITH CANCER BY MEASURING SUCH VARIABLES AS PAIN CONTROL, SATISFACTION WITH CARE RECEIVED, DEPRESSION AND VARIOUS TYPES OF COST.
