Abstract: USDA STUDIES HAVE DISCLOSED WIDESPREAD FRAUD AND ABUSE BY APPLICANTS O FREE AND REDUCED PRICE SCHOOL MEALS. P.L. 97-35 MANDATES THAT USDA PILOT TEST POCEDURES THAT WILL REDUCE FRAUD AND ABUSE. THE RESULTS OF THE INFORMATION COLLECTION WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE THE IMPACT, COST EFFECTIVENESS, AND FEASIBILITY OF THE ERROR REDUCING PROCEDURES.
