Abstract: RECREATION USE AND THE POTENTIAL SUPPLY OF THE LARGELY PRIVATE FOREST RESOURCES IN THE SOUTH ARE UNKNOWN. THE GOAL OF THIS SURVEY IS TO PROVIDE DATA IN ALABAMA FOR COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENTS OF FOREST RESOURCES USED AND OF POTENTIAL USE FOR DISPERSED RECREATION ACTIVITIE AND ESTIMATES OF PREFERRED RECREATION OPPORTUNITY LEVELS AND USERS' WILLINGNESS-TO-PAY FOR DISPERSED RECREATION FACILITIES.
