Abstract: THE REGULATIONS UNDER 7 CFR PART 240 REQUIRE STATE AGENCIES, SCHOOLS AND INSTITUTIONS WHICH RECEIVE CASH PAYMENTS IN LIEU OF DONATED FOODS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH ACT TO RETAIN RECORDS ON THE RECEIPT AND DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS MADE AVAILABLE THE REGULATIONS ARE BEING REVISED TO MAKE COMMODITY-ONLY SCHOOLS RECEIVING CASH PAYMENTS SUBJECT TO THESE REQUIREMENTS AS A REULTS OF P.L. 97-35.
