Abstract: THE COMMISSION IS PREPARING TO EVALUATE A VOLUNTARY STANDARD FOR CHAIN SAWS. RESPONSES TO THE TELEPHONE INQUIRIES AND THE FOLLOW-UP MAIL-OUT QUESTIONNAIRE WILL PROVIDE INFORMATION ON THE PREVALENCE AND USAGE OF CHAIN SAWS, THEIR SAFETY FEATURES AND THEIR ACCESSORIES.
