Abstract: THIS SURVEY PROVIDES THE ONLY DATA AVAILABLE ANNUALLY ON MANUFACTURERS SHIPMENTS OF PENS, PENCILS, AND MARKING DEVICES. THE FIGURES ARE USED EXTENSIVELY BY GOVERNMENT AGENCIES IN PROCUREMENT, FORECASTING, AND INDEX CALCULATION. INDUSTRY ANALYSTS WILL USE THE DATA TO MONITOR MARKET SHARE AND SHIFTS IN PRODUCT TYPES.
