THE TRUCK INVENTORY AND USE SURVEY PROVIDES DATA ON THE PHYSICAL AND OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE NATION'S TRUCK POPULATION. THESE DATA ARE USED BY GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, MAJOR MANUFACTURERS OF TRUCKS AND THEIR COMPONENT PARTS, AND CONSULTING FIRMS TO ESTABLISH POLICY FOR THE TRUCKING INDUSTRY, AND TO PREDICT MARKETING TRENDS.
