Abstract: THIS SURVEY WAS BEGUN IN 1926 TO PROVIDE DATA ON CONFECTIONERY SALES TO A NUMBER OF FEDERAL AGENCIES. THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE USES THE DATA IN ITS DIETARY AND NUTRITIONAL STUDIES AND THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE USES IT TO MEASURE THE IMPACT OF CACAO BEAN IMPORTS IN THE BALANCE OF PAYMENTS.
