Abstract: GENERAL OPERATING SUPPORT GRANTS PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO ALL TYPES OF MUSEUMS FOR PERSONNEL, SECURITY, MAINTENANCE, ADMINISTRATION, AND RELATED OPERATING COSTS. SPECIAL PROJECT SUPPORT GRANTS PROVIDE ASSISTANCE FOR EXEMPLARY PROJECTS WITH SPECIAL CONSIDERATION GIVEN TO PROPOSALS FOR LONG-RANGE INSTITUTIONAL PLANNING AND FOR COLLABORATIVE PROJECTS BETWEEN LOCAL EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS AND MUSEUMS.
