THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF JUSTICE'S MANDATE INCLUDES HELPING STATE AND LOCAL JURISDICTIONS PLAN AND DEVELOP CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROGRAMS THROUGH THE IDENTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF "MODEL" PROJECTS.
