Abstract: BY INCLUDING RESIDENCE INFORMATION ON THE IRS INCOME TAX RETURNS, THE CENSUS BUREAU WILL BE ABLE TO ASSIGN RESIDENCE CODES FOR DEVELOPING POPULATION AND PER CAPITA INCOME ESTIMATES IN THE 1980'S. THESE ESTIMATES ARE NEEDED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF A VARIETY OF REVENUE SHARING-TYPE LEGISLATION.
