Abstract: PROVIDES DATA TO ESTIMATE CATFISH AND TROUT INVENTORY, MARKETING, PRODUCTION AND WATER AREA IN 12 MAJOR PRODUCING STATES. SURVEY RESULTS WILL BE USDA'S INPUT INTO THE NATIONAL AQUACULTURE PLAN. THIS PLAN WILL DETERMINE ACTION FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD UNDERTAKE TO FURTHER AQUACULTURE DEVELOPMENT. ESTIMATES ALSO USED BY CATFISH AND TROUT PRODUCERS IN PRODUCTION AND MARKETING DECISIONS.
